Andrea Stella has praised race-winner Lando Norris in the wake of the Dutch Grand Prix, which the McLaren man won from pole. But that does not tell the full story of the race, with Norris having to catch and pass Kimi Antonelli on track to ensure he took victory. Stella watched as his driver bided his time after falling behind Antonelli at the second standing start, with Norris able to extract more pace on the hard compound tyre than his rival....

There were mixed emotions for the Alpine team after the Dutch Grand Prix, with Pierre Gasly taking heart from a “positive step” made by the squad’s upgrade package while Franco Colapinto was left to rue what he deemed as a “harsh” penalty. After lining up in P11, Gasly made a good start and was running within the top 10 when Max Verstappen crashed ahead of him on his opening lap, the Frenchman just managing to avoid getting caught up in the accident....

The Dutch Grand Prix saw some fantastic action at the front, but there were also impressive performances further back, including a spectacular drive from Fernando Alonso to P9 and two precious points for Aston Martin. The Spaniard was beaten only by the Audi of Nico Hulkenberg in the midfield battle. However, while progress has been made of late it would be premature to suggest that Aston Martin’s AMR26 was the sixth fastest car on the Zandvoort grid....

Ferrari introduced what it reports as a very cost-effective update to the SF26 at Zandvoort based around changes to the floor. Into the second half of the season the top teams are very aware of the cost implications of any updates as they forecast how to stay within the budget cap by the end of the season. Only two sets of the new parts package were initially made (one each for Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc) and they were not used in FP1 so as to minimise the risk of damage without the spares back-up before being fitted to the cars for Sprint Qualifying....

Haas had an afternoon to forget at Zandvoort, with both Ollie Bearman and Esteban Ocon parking up trackside to retire with technical issues. Having qualified down the order, neither DNF cost the team a chance of points - but instead highlighted how many issues the team currently have to work on. Bearman was the first to park up, at the end of the formation lap following the red flag restart called after Max Verstappen’s crash out of Turn 14....

In finishing P11 at Zandvoort he might not have made the points, but nevertheless Yuki Tsunoda was able to use his one-off appearance with Racing Bulls to put himself back on the radar of the Formula 1 pit lane. After his somewhat disastrous season with Red Bull in 2025 it was hard to imagine him ever finding a way back to a race seat. A solid Dutch Grand Prix weekend in an unfamiliar car served as a calling card though, reminding everyone that Tsunoda is one of the most experienced and best-qualified drivers currently sitting on the sidelines....

F1 ACADEMY has announced that their Rookie Test will return this year, alongside the launch of a new Rookie Training Camp, supported by Loughborough University. The Rookie Training Camp and Rookie Test have been designed to help identify, develop, and support the strongest talent from an increasingly competitive and global pool of female drivers. Following last year’s inaugural Rookie Test, seven drivers graduated to full-time seats on the 2026 grid, while an additional two have made Wild Card appearances this season....

Set against a backdrop of red, white, and blue flags amid the memorable orange of the fans in the grandstands, while Zandvoort’s ‘Last Lap’ might not have given the home crowd its fairy tale ending, it certainly delivered a rollercoaster of a race. Reigning World Champion Lando Norris claimed back-to-back Grand Prix victories with a strategic masterclass and some sterling overtakes, sharing the podium with Championship leader Kimi Antonelli and George Russell, who won Saturday’s Sprint ahead of Charles Leclerc, with Norris in third....

The Dutch GP weekend was always going to be difficult for Liam Lawson after he was parachuted into Red Bull Racing at the last minute, but the New Zealander excellently did the job that he was asked to do. The Red Bull RB22 and Racing Bulls VCARB 03 may share the same power unit, but they are very different beasts, and heading into a busy Sprint weekend schedule with just a day in the Milton Keynes simulator with which to adapt to the former was a big challenge....

Fred Vasseur has reflected on Ferrari’s strategy during the Dutch Grand Prix after Lewis Hamilton criticised the team’s decisions over the radio. Ferrari claimed fourth and fifth with Hamilton and Charles Leclerc during Sunday’s 72-lap race in Zandvoort, with the pair just missing out on the final podium position as Mercedes' George Russell resisted late pressure. During the race, Hamilton became heated over the radio after being held up by Leclerc despite being on a fresher set of tyres and implementing an alternative strategy....

Oscar Piastri has admitted that he doesn’t “have any answers” at the moment after being surprised by his lack of pace in the Dutch Grand Prix, a race he labelled as “disappointing” following his P6 finish. The event had initially started well for Piastri, who pulled off an impressive overtake on Mercedes' George Russell at the restart having switched to the hard tyres during the stoppage. However, a slow pit stop appeared to undo the Australian’s race and from there he slipped backwards, eventually being overtaken by both Ferraris before crossing the line in a lonely sixth place....

Nico Hulkenberg admits that he was “a passenger” in his near-miss with Audi team mate Gabriel Bortoleto following the Brazilian’s high-speed spin in the Dutch Grand Prix. Hulkenberg finished best-of-the-rest behind the leading teams in last Sunday’s 72-lap race at the Zandvoort Circuit after finishing eighth, ensuring the German secured back-to-back points finishes. The result came after a dramatic opening lap incident, with Max Verstappen losing control of his Red Bull through the final, high-speed banked turn on a damp track before hitting the wall....

Laurent Mekies has conceded that the Dutch Grand Prix was a “very difficult weekend” for Red Bull, with Max Verstappen suffering an early crash out of Sunday’s race while Liam Lawson took home a P7 finish. After Verstappen and Lawson lined up in seventh and eighth on the grid respectively, the pair briefly enjoyed some wheel-to-wheel battling when the event got underway - but Verstappen’s final home race at Zandvoort came to an end within a couple of laps when he lost the rear of his car and hit the wall coming out of Turn 14....

Charles Leclerc was only 1.3s away from the podium in Zandvoort, but finished fifth in the final Dutch Grand Prix despite Ferrari demonstrating plenty of race pace on Sunday. The Monegasque driver had an eventful race, fighting with team mate Lewis Hamilton, McLaren’s Oscar Piastri and George Russell’s Mercedes. Finishing fifth on a day where the pace was strong was frustrating for Leclerc, and he was not helped by a late Virtual Safety Car, called to clear debris caused by the fighting Williams cars....
