James Vowles has admitted that he was concerned by the possibility of Williams losing both Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon amid the team’s struggles this season, and says the confirmation both drivers will be staying on for next year has seen a “weight lifted” off the factory. Lando Norris has committed his future to McLaren after signing a new deal that will extend his stay at the British team until at least the end of 2030, with a multi-year option to commit beyond that date. The Briton joined McLaren in 2017 as a test and development driver before earning promotion to the grid as a race driver for 2019. The 26-year-old has since gone on to claim 13 Grand Prix victories, 18 pole positions and 48 podiums - as well as his maiden World Championship in 2025....

Last weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix had an air of finality to it, as the world of Formula 1 arrived knowing that, at least for the foreseeable future, Grand Prix cars will not return to the seaside circuit.
